Have you ever set a New Year’s goal only to feel overwhelmed or unsure of where to begin? Aligning our goals with God’s purpose helps bring clarity, peace, and direction to our plans. As we step into this new year, it’s essential to set intentional goals that reflect His will for our lives.

While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.
- Genesis 8:22

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.
- Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

This midweek, we will dig into Setting God-Centered Goals, where we explore how seasons, created by God, shape our priorities and provide a foundation for growth.

By framing our goals as progressive steps, leveraging supportive relationships, and embracing hope through setbacks, we can move forward with faith and intentionality.

Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.
- Proverbs 27:17

And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works.
- Hebrews 10:24

Rejoice in our confident hope. Be patient in trouble, and keep on praying.
- Romans 12:12 (NLT)

Take a moment to consider the season God has placed you in. What does He want to grow in you this year? How can you intentionally seek His guidance in every step?

This year, let’s commit to hard work and faithful diligence as we pursue the life God has called us to.

Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.
 -Ecclesiastes 9:10

This handout is designed to help you set intentional, God-centered goals. Use it as a tool to prayerfully reflect on how you can align your goals with God’s vision for your life.
